Well here we are again ... able to gather at the Hall to stitch. Thankfully minimal restrictions, whilst our State remains Covid free, to impact our enjoyment at being together.
We welcomed Annette, Pauline, Christine, Jennifer and her friend Impi, Yvonne, Win, Nelly, Cheryl, Sandi, Julianne, Lucy, Libby, Michele and yours truly.
Nelly had arrived with quilt tops and quilts for us from her quilting group 'Made with Love' ... so many bright 'pops' of colour in these beautifully pieced tops.
Thank you so very much Nelly ... and it was an absolute pleasure to have you stay on and stitch with us on Saturday.
Jennifer, one of our more recent Members (right) ... with her friend Impi ... all set to handfinish bindings for us.
Nelly, Win and Impi .... in our handfinishing 'corner' ...
Sandi and Michele ... selecting fabrics from our 'stash'.
'Yours truly' kept out of mischief by machining bindings to quilt, prior to taking them home to handfinish as 'homework'.
And before we knew it .. the day was drawing to a close. Christine and Jennifer unwinding ...
Sandi doing a spot of sweeping ...
And Libby getting her bits'n'bobs together to take home till next month.
And that actually winds up the Blog ... apologies for not taking more photos folks ... guess I got too engrossed in doing those bindings ... Ooops ;)
I'll finish off now and get this into cyberspace .. we gather again on Saturday May 8th and look forward to sharing more with you then. Remember we are now a 'BYO lunch and snack' group as detailed in our Newsletter but have access to a microwave and Urn and disposable cups.
In the interim, if you wander over to our website, you will find a wealth of information from Jenny in her Newsletter as to our Fundraising and distribution of quilts in recent months.
Many blessings,
Susan
