More than a tad tempted to title this pic above ^ 'We've got ewe covered' … a rather bad play on words, for which I have no excuse … *wink*
But I digress … what better way to spend time than at beautiful Mont De Lancey in Wandin on a sunny winters day. I was invited by our QFO leader, Annette, to attend this exhibition as we were to be interviewed by Pat Boucher from the Yarra Ranges Life TV crew as part of the days publicity for this event.
We also met up there with Nellie Sutherland and Lynne Spencer from local Endeavour Hills quilting group 'Made with Love Quilts' who came over to gift us more of their beautiful quilts. Regular blog readers may recall that they also visited us earlier this year with a wonderful amount of quilts for our little ministry. Such a blessing to partner with folk who have such a heart to help cover those in need with fabric 'hugs'. Pictures will follow in this blogpost.
Here are some pictures taken at the Exhibition and I encourage folk to pop in to Mont De Lancey to see this display. There will also be many 'mini Events' during the time that the Exhibition is on. I'll share the Link details a little further on in this Blog update.
How sweet are these dolls?
And now here are the amazing donation of quilts from the 'Made with Love Quilts' ladies …
How beautiful are these … and how wonderful it is to be blessed by another quilting group … surely quilters are THE most generous of souls.
And local .. to support local church fundraising which in turn benefits the community close to home.
And a HUGE thank you in return to Yarra Ranges Life TV … who so generously included us in their publicity for the Mont De Lancey event :) I'll now attempt to pop the Link in here to their broadcast. If I don't succeed … check them out via the Links above.
And now …. from Annette .. an invitation to those so inclined to visit Mont De Lancey in the next couple of weeks, an invitation to bring your knitting/crochet/sewing and join in the fun at the handcrafting event.
Ooops … nearly forgot the details for those wishing to enter the Tea Cosy Competition .. its not too late :)
And that, dear reader …. just about 'wraps up' this Blogpost (yes, another play on words …. I'm sorry)
Till next Blog … which will happen after our next QFO sewing Saturday … to be held at beautiful Mont De Lancey … I'll leave you to enjoy this little offering.
