Well another Blogpost for you ... and yes, it was as if Christmas had come in November when I swung past the Barn last week ... collected two wonderful parcels to photograph. Quilt tops stitched by generous folk who have blessed us with their handiwork. Thank you so very, very much ... firstly to Julie from Mount Eliza. The prettiest fabrics and the loveliest pair of quilt tops. Delightful Julie ... and so kind of you.
Useful indeed ... and so very pretty Julie ...
Thank you so much .... just delightful. I look forward to seeing them quilted and will have fun selecting toning backing and seeing what patterns Yvonne custom quilts them with. Something flowery I'm guessing.
And from the Coonooer Quilters in St Arnaud .... a parcel crammed to the brim .. with two completed quilts and (if I counted correctly) 13 tops.
All with the sizes neatly noted, thank you all so very much. Just gorgeous. I enlisted my husbands help in holding up the completed quilts so that I could snap them for the Blog, so here they are ...
Noahs Ark ... how absolutely gorgeous!!
And how very beautiful is this one? Love the colours!! AND the fabric :)
Let my 'assistant' off the hook and snapped the rest on my own, hopefully I've done them justice ..
Hidden butterflies in this one ...
Love these two ... sweet fabric ...
Brilliant fish fabric, and so well set off by the sashing ...
Vibrant .. love it!!
Can well imagine Yvonne quilting this with cowboy themed patterning ... great fabric :)
Gorgeous print ... and a close up below of the picture. Isn't it brilliant?
Love the heart piecing on this one, very clever ...
Pretty in pink, and blue, and pale green ....
And finally this beauty ... complete with toning backing fabric ... thank you so much :)
So there you have it ... what a beautiful 'gifting' to us .. and so very much appreciated. Thank you to Julie, Judith and the Coonooer quilters for your parcels. Will thoroughly enjoy the finishing off process when these have been quilted in the New Year. Always an absolute delight to receive parcels and the surprises when we open them.
And before I go on ... this one slipped under the radar and I'm not sure of the details, but we have our Pauline showing it off .... and very sweet it is too ...
Now also .... when I passed by the Barn last week, as part of our 'post Quilt Fair' tidy up ... we had guests. Two lovely gentlemen, Malcolm and David .... from the Monbulk Mens Shed ... who we invited to discuss some much needed shelving storage in our upstairs part of the Barn. This will make life so much easier for our quilt storage needs and its great to be able to use the services of a great local initiative. Look forward to showing you more in the New Year.
And that just about wraps up this Blogpost, just remains for me to send it into cyberspace and head off to the fabled 'Land of Nod' ... time flies when one is blogging and the clock shows 11.30 pm. So I'm off and I'll be back for more blogging as soon as I have more news :)
Blessings to all,
Susan
