Well Hello again beautiful people .... I was unable to attend the May Working Bee I'm afraid, but taking my place was the extremely capable Deborah who took photos of the lovely members and the creations that had been put together since our April 'Bee'. So without further ado, and with Deborahs camera work .... here goes with the Blog :)
Present ... in my absence ... were Anne, Jan, Gaynor and Reg, Pauline, Christine, Glenis, Maxine, Carol, Alice, Alison, Emily, Isobel, Win, Val and Deborah :) All were kept extremely busy creating napkins and tablecloths for Indonesia. This is a project that we have previously stitched for ...
Now for Show and Tell ... and our most welcome donations also will be featured here ...
First picture shows quilts very kindly created by Paulines class comprised of Grace, Val, Lynda and Christine, using donated fabrics. Just beautiful ladies.
Next we have a stunning creation by Christines friend Carol Hoven ..... awesome ruffles!!
Next ..An appliqued piece by Carol ...
And a final piece by Carol .... many thanks for your giftings ... your work is just stunning!!
Now we are often the extremely grateful recipients also of donated fabrics ... and this month was no exception. From the very generous Florence Jeffries we received a bountiful (and beautiful) assortment of lovely fabric.
Next .... from Christine ... four lovely tops in shades of pink ...
.... and two more ... seriously pretty eh?
Now some donated 'UFO's which we will soon have assembled into completed quilts. Some lovely colour combinations and piecings here :)
Next ... from Julia Ozolins in Yarragon, this vibrant piece .... brilliant stuff Julia!!
And from the mother and daughter team of Edith and Sylvia in North Ryde ... another beautiful quilt. Many thanks ladies :)
From one of our newest members Anne ... comes this lovely sunny blue and yellow quilt ... I love this colour combo .... always looks great :)
And now some candid shots taken on the day ... of our talented members all hard at work create, create, creating :) Nothing nicer than a Saturday spent at our Barn stitching ... so relaxing :)
And that just about wraps up the May Blog ..... looks like a good time was had by all and I am most certainly looking forward to fully participating in the June gathering :) Which will take place on June 13th .... lunch 'Theme' being Soup and Desserts .... just perfect for a wintry Melbourne day.
